When the infamous Northern Kentucky skater-built-and-occupied “Dirt Park” was shut down by local police in 2001, Dan Eason migrated to Cincinnati, where the riots in Over-The-Rhine became a backdrop to his first video production – Trespassing. Never one to tread the path of least resistance, Dan embraced the challenge of scouting for uniquely cinematic locations and found a new love for filmmaking.

In 2004, Dan began studying at Drexel University in Philadelphia where he later received a Bachelor of Science at the College of Media Arts and Design. While pursuing his film degree, he produced a variety of projects, including a short film entitled Limbo, and an ad campaign for the 2007 Philadelphia International Film Festival.

He cut his teeth in New York City where he worked as an assistant editor at 4th Row Films. In the summer of 2008, Eason was back in Philly producing Brothers INC just before moving to Los Angeles in the fall. After working on Eagle Eye, he joined Warner Brothers as a production management trainee for Bill Draper. Dan joined Teamsters Local 399 as a location scout and manager in 2012, juxtaposing his close professional relationship with Los Angeles Police on film sets from his previous experience scouting on a skateboard in Cincinnati.

In 2013, Dan moved to Portland, Oregon to work as a location manager for several seasons on the hit NBC show, Grimm. He now enjoys working consistently both as a location manager and as a producer on a myriad of films and commercials shot in the greater Portland area. In 2016, Dan location managed “I Don’t Feel At Home in This World Anymore”, which went on to win best picture at the Sundance Film Festival.
